FEAR! UNCERTAINTY! DOUBT! OH MY!!
« on: April 05, 2007, 11:05:46 AM »
This just came into my mailbox.  The folks spoken of here (K's dad and K&T) are not generally inclined to tinfoil hattery or panic-mongering, but it could just be F.U.D.  Take it for what you will.

Quote
I just got a call from K's dad.  He told me that D [K's older sister -Sin] (who works for a county in Colorado
-Sin) called him and told him that Adams County was told to get All of their vehicles filled with gasoline that they were expecting a gas shortage.
I don't know "why" I just thought I would let you know too.  I have filled all my vehicles up and plan to keep them that way for a bit, unless, of course I can't because there's no gas. This may be interesting!
Take care,
T

What irks me is the fact that Iran has discovered they can control the oil prices on the market just by acting up. I'll be glad when the US gets that newly discovered oil field in the Gulf of Mexico up and running. They're just not moving fast enough to keep Iran in check.

Update: One of the folks this was sent to reports there is a refinery fire in TX, where a good chunk of Colorado's petrol comes from.

Maybe not the SHTF it looked like.

Darn, and I was all ready to set up my own little empire. Wink

Thor, Iran may develop a greater appreciation for the concept of irony at some point.  From what I understand, Iran imports much of its gasoline and is extremely vulnerable to an embargo.
