Easy/cheap floorplan & layout software that doesn't suck?
« on: August 08, 2023, 12:23:48 PM »
I'd like to do some room planning and am looking for free or super-inexpensive floorplan/room layout software. Nothing fancy, just room dimensions and the ability to add/manipulate basic shapes (i.e. furniture). I could do it on paper but the ability to modify-on-the-fly would make things a lot easier. Suggestions?

PM me if you have intermediate AutoCAD skills and a solid WinXP machine.

I found this when looking for something ... anything ... I could recommend for you:

A few years ago I tried every free home design package I could find that runs in Windows. I'm probably biased by virtue of being an architect, but my opinion was that they're all crap.
