Hey, Supermoon coming up!

Search-Engineing around on the Supermoon on August 30th-31st ( Wednesday-Thursday) I found this:

Interesting "take" on it beyond the purely physical stuff.

The moon will be about 3.5 earth diameters closer during this full moon.

Gotta watch them there perigees, they'll sneak right up on a guy.

I wonder how it might affect the tides and storm surges of any impending storms / hurricanes.

This one's a "Blue Moon," a case where two full moons occur in the same month, so it doesn't have a specific name... some of them are strange:

I agree, the Harvest Moon is the only one I've "heard tell" of much. 

But without search-engineing it to death, I think there have been a couple of "Harvest Moon" related songs as well.

I've always wondered if there was an increase in rural childbirths nine months after the harvesting was done.    Reminds me of this old bit of doggerel:

Sweet tune, HeroHog.  Things like that and the Harvest Moon song sometimes bring me tender reminiscence.  Which they're supposed to do, although I've got a raftful of reality to wrestle with nowadays.

But I still have sparks of affection spread out among several former wives and sweethearts that occasionally glow brighter when I hear a touching tune.

I edited my one-word "Sweet" post but posted it after your quote.

I poked around a little over "Ballroom Blitz" and I am not surprised they got "bottled" in Scotland.  General modern rock schlock. 

Standard progressions with a powerful beat almost to the point where one starts to think the "music" is actually a minor almost white noise accompaniment to the powerful drum beating. <sarcasm>

Now I admit my hearing is nowhere near as good as it used to be, but I think listening to a good-sized waterfall would be more musical. <sarcasm²>
