I can't recall if we talked about this when it happened (in June), but it popped up in my feed this morning.
An Amazon driver reported to Amazon that a customer's doorbell made a racist remark, so Amazon shut the whole smart home down while they investigated. The homeowner is black, and it's alluded to that the driver was black. Regardless, it's another reason not to have a smart home, unless it's on a NAS or something. This "always on" stuff gets creepier and creepier and totalitarianier and totalitarianier.

then end your contract with the customer.
