Impressive video.
It shows that, for a straight-on shot, neither side windows nor windshield glass do much for deflecting a bullet.  I would be very curious however, to see what happens when shooting into the windshield at about a 45 degree angle (like shooting at a driver from the passenger side).

Not sure why they were so surprised that they didn't find the .223 bullet. It's well know that they fragment like crazy.

I recall experiments where straight on shots from a .38 (presumably a "regular" one) to the windshield just glanced off upward. FBI? Fact-checkers can Gargle that one.  Makes sense that there's an angle of incidence where this wouldn't happen.

I have seen that before with windshield shots.  The lesson learned that I recall is to always aim at the base of the windshield if you expect to hit the driver.  But the upward angle isn't always that harsh.  Maybe 10 or 15 degrees.

Regarding the windshield shot with .38. My anecdotal observations...

Watched an old boss of mine put 6 through the windshield with a tight group at the driver's face.

All six missed the driver and the passenger caught one center of mass.... and survived.

Not surprising since 38S is a relatively slow round
