Where to get a spit for a hog roast?
« on: December 15, 2007, 01:10:46 PM »
Where can one buy a spit suitable for a ~100lb hog? Even cabelas doesn't seem to have anything like that online.
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.

Google is your friend.
In thy presence is fulness of joy.
At thy right hand pleasures for evermore.

Not a real technical device If I was planning to do it I would consider making my own... but here is an interesting link...

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

A closet clothes rod would work....

Availlble at most hardware stores.  Just char it over a fire first before running it through the pig.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
