Phish is the "New Dead" with devoted legions of pot-smoking hippies.  Now if you'll excuse me, I need to crank up some Slayer on iTunes.

And Coldplay sounds like U2.

This is why I listen to trance, progressive house and all. It's new, original compositions and sounds from talented artists who started off just doing it for fun.

Yes, they do and it took you this long to figure it out? An easy way to identify a Dead or Phish song is that it pretty much sucks.

laugh

Well, to be honest, I've never really listened to them before but then they popped up on my "Pandora" thing and I started wondering if it was a Dead song I never heard before. So I checked it out and it said "Phish". So I was like,,,"Hmph, isn't that strange."

Last Dead concert I went to (there weren't many) I could see all the sound equipment and there was these newfangled LED level meters all over the place on it, so I spent a good amount of time watching those at first and then fell asleep about half way through. I'm sorry, those guys were just BORING! I'll say this though, I saw Bob Weir about 6-8 months after Jerry croaked and that was one helluva show. I always liked him a lot better without Jerry.

Would that make me grateful Jerry's dead?  angel

I saw Tom Petty with Phish opening, and I think there were more people there for Phish than Petty.  Of course, they were so stoned by the time Phish was off stage they probably didn't realize there was anybody else playing.
