Since they bought PayPal, dispute resolution has been a joke.
Actually it's become a lot more straighforward (if a little roundabout and long-winded).
If the Buyer doesn't get an item they can file a dispute on eBay. The Seller has a week to respond. If there is no response, and the Buyer used PayPal to pay, the amount is automatically credited to the Buyer via PayPal and the Seller receives a strike on their account.
I had two deadbeat bidders on some recent auctions. I was grousing about the dispute resolution, too. It turned out to be fairly easy, just not instant.
PolishRifleman, often the Seller's actual e-mail address will be on the purchase confirmation. Maybe even a personal or business name. If it was a BuyItNow auction you might be able to decipher a store or business name from something in the auction. Tried tracking down any of that?
