How not to use an MRI.

This is why you don't have anything of ferrous material nearby when the ring powers up on one of these things.  cheesy

A friend of mine had a similar epiphany when he discovered that his "gold" ring wasn't.

I only had to take my belt off, they said leave the pants on. Well, that zipper yanked up so far it looked like I had.....become excited by the experience.

Ask any of the nurses if it was good for them too?    grin

I had to have an MRI last summer for my back....when I went into the machine, a young and RATHER pretty woman put me in the machine.

We were flirting up a storm.  I hate close spaces, and well, she was helping me to keep my mind off of what was going on.

When they pulled me out of the tube, I was still flirting away.

Then looked up, and the young lady had gone on break, and the new, er, woman (?) left a lot to be desired.

But she was laughing, and knew what had happened....

I'm not even sure if I could go into an MRI

If there is metal under there, you can't.  My Wife has metal wire holding her rib cage closed (ASD repair way back when), and can't do an MRI.

i needed to have xrays of my eyes to make sure there were no metal fragments in them. at that time (5 years ago) i was told of a fatallaty occurring when a steel oxygen tank was left nearby.

Metal plate and seven screws.
It's beeen there since '02.  I thought about removing it when I had full insurance coverage.

I had to have my eyes X-rayed as well. Had a sliver of steel in my eye in 1977 and they just had to be sure (which I am happy about!).

Strange. I had an MRI after my second surgery, and I've got some metal plates in my face...

I have three stainless steel pins in my left hip from my 1997 bicycle accident.  I have been warned about not allowing a MRI of that area lest the magnet pull the pins out somewhat.  shocked
