Four consecutive, unfired P7s from the last batch of 500.  $7200 bills.

That's just cruel!  cheesy Talk about an investment. It's like a garage full of Bentleys, but a sort no longer made ever again.

Probably should get a spare parts kit for my magic +P+ fingerpointer before they're all gone...

Still way too much.  I've spent enough time with a P7 to know I wouldn't spend $700, much less $1750 for one.

I consider it worth $2000. Mine is amazing.

Probably the safest possible design ever invented, and the gas system soaks up so much recoil that I've gotten touching doubletaps with +P+. It also just feels absolutely perfect in my hand, solid, crafted, elegant.

HK really made a mistake in discontinuing it in 05, I think. It's nothing like the generic USPs that have followed.

There's nothing technically wrong with them, but they just don't work for me.  The ergonomics are off and the squeeze cocking mechanism doesn't work well with the mechanics of my hand.  The tension required to hold the squeeze mechanism closed while firing creates an imbalance in my grip that makes comfortable shooting impossible for me.  The engineering is fine, they're just an ergonomic nightmare for me.

Makes sense. Sort of like how the ergonomics of Glocks are completely wrong for me, and I suck with them.

The P7, I can make a tiny group even holding it one-handed. Whatever works best for you is the gun you should choose, I think. Smiley

Though for me, the 1.5lbs needed to keep it cocked is just my normal right-hand grip on any gun, since my other main gun is a P220 with more recoil.

I can understand why four pistols are better than one, but what's so special about four consecutive pistols?

Collector value. Having two guns with consecutive serials is incredibly rare unless you work for the factory. Having FOUR guns with consecutive serials is unheard of, also, they're the last run of them ever produced.

The only things more valuable would be the last four of that run, or perhaps four consecutives of the Jubilee edition with the medallion and wooden grip.

Personally, I wouldn't be all that thrilled.

1911s with a curved backstrap fit me better - well enough in fact to be an extension of my pointer finger... and it's truly scary how well that works.

I wish I had faster reflexes - I'd be darn near dangerous on the circuit...

Pointing is precisely how the P7 works. With me, at least. I just point at something as if with my index finger, and it makes a hole exactly where I point.

Well, my 1911s make bigger holes.

And they work for me.

What's the trigger like on a P7?

Incredibly light single-action that breaks like a tuned match pistol. The fact that it's cocked when you squeeze the grip means that every shot can be single action with a light trigger.

Also, it's got polygonal rifling.
