A point about Chicago
« on: April 20, 2008, 06:17:48 PM »
With their outburst of violence this weekend, The Mayor and Chief of Police are calling for more gun laws.  They note that they have a worse "gun violence" problem than New York and Los Angeles.

I'd like to point out that guns are not banned in either New York or LA and in fact they allow some lawful concealed carry.

Chicago's problem is what again?

Leftist extremists are always glad of an excuseany excuseto advocate disarming the commoners. It worked for Lenin, didn't it? It worked for Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, et cetera. Scratch a leftist, and you'll always find someone who prefers easy victims.

They should have staged these crimes closer to election day.  Not that it matters in Chicago...    cheesy

Well, if the dead vote, and they vote Democrat, why wouldn't the Chicago machine be fully behind arming everyone?  If, as they believe, guns are the reason for mayhem and death, more gun deaths should be a firm plank in the Democrat party platform in Chicago. It would surely secure their power, no?  rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes

And just think, if Obama is elected, the rest of the country can be just like the place where he helped solve all the problems before going for a national campaign!
