A 60-year-old Canadian electrician was charged with assault after allegedly using his craft to try to kill his wife, The Toronto Sun reported on Thursday.

Durham Regional Police told The Sun that the suspect, whose name has not been released, attempted to electrocute his wife while she showered in their Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, home by attaching some of the electrical wiring to the plumbing in the shower.

The woman claims she suffered several electrical shocks while adjusting the knobs in the shower on Sunday. She said her husband told her it was a build-up of static electricity. The next day she found a section of drywall missing and noticed the re-wiring job, The Sun reported.

...[charged with] mischief endangering life, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm and failing to stop for police

How about attempted murder? "Mischief endangering life"? Oh, that silly electrician, always into mischief! TPing the neighbors' trees, electrocuting his wife. Mischief = misdemeanor in Canada?

Not only is he not very smart, but he isn't much of an electrician either.

What an ijit.  He was obviously way out of his league, and should have called a plumber.
He never brought you an unbalanced budget, which is a perennial joke. He never voted himself a wage increase and, to this day, gives back part of his salary every year. He has always voted to preserve the Constitution, cut government spending, lower healthcare costs, end the war on drugs, secure our borders with immigration reform and protect our civil liberties.

Anyone else remember that "Lucy" episode where she was in the shower with sliding doors, the drain was plugged, and she couldn't get the water turned off ?   grin

I got the answer.

Electrician control.

He called for a plumber, but it was a five day wait, and you wouldn't believe what he was asking!

This is why I love this site, it's a great way to keep up on current events...
