New toy

So after reading on here about the Mio C520 GPS, I went out and picked one up for the wife.  She's somewhat "directionally challenged", so this is something she's been wanting for a while.  $280 delivered, in time for her b-day even (found out the stores around here didn't carry it anymore!!!)

So far, she's pretty happy with it.  It does good for getting her around, except every once in a while it picks a route that I know isn't the best (found that out while testing it after getting it for her) but it'll definitely do.  Still need to play around with it some more to really figure out the interface, but it's definitely accurate to within a very small radius.....

Over all, definitely worth the price, and it's got features that the big names don't get into until you hit the $500 price point.....

Sounds nice.

FYI, thefts of car GPS units are on the rise.  The units are popular and easy to spot, even when not mounted; the suction cup leaves a ring on the windshield.

Yeah, we are careful not to leave the mount visible either, but I didn't think about the suction cup leaving a ring on the windshield.  Will have to keep an eye on that and clean the windshield more frequently I guess.
