Ebay motors
« on: July 03, 2008, 05:58:25 AM »
Anyone have any experience buying vehicles from here? I'm really banging my head on the wall trying to find a bike locally on Craig's List, so I've started thinking about it. Obviously shipping adds to the cost, and you've got to worry about the honesty of the description etc.

So what do you think APS? Is Ebay a useful source for bikes, or should I just stick to Craig's List?

the sellers feedback + rating, as well as how long they have been selling on ebay will give you a good idea of how accurate the description will be.

Not sure exactly where you are but you could look around at some of the bike shops.  Most larger shops will have used trade ins, plus then some places only deal in used.

Plus on Ebay you can sort by zip and go look at bikes in your neighborhood.

I've tried looking at the online inventory of the local shops. I'll probably go in and check out the physical locations this weekend if they're open.

I have both bought and sold vehicles on ebay motors. No major problems with any transaction. One vehicle I bought did need some repairs but it was well used with 120k miles so I expected that.
