Last Friday I took Sammi to the store and promised her three new Matchbox cars.

She saw some minature John Deere tractors, and I was thrilled.  In fact, there were five, and she told me that it was ok, she'd hold on to the other two for me.  Such a dear.

Then it happened.

She say some #!$!%#$ princess !#$%#$% Barbie.

She put down the cars, and wanted the !#$%$#% Barbie.

I was crushed.  My little girl is growing up.

Sigh.

You know, I was thinking the other day about zombie apocalypse.

God's used up all the other good world ending disasters, and has pretty much told us he'd never use them again.
So it's either the Large Hadron Collider, or zombies.

At least the zombie one will be more fun.

The LHC would probably be, "oh good morning, hone-POOF"

Amelia got her first Barbie this week from one of her Grandmas.  Her 3rd birthday is next week.  She's been incessantly brushing its hair.  She's getting a tea set and a table for her bedroom.
Of course, if I go ask her to go fishing right now, she'll say "Yes!!"

Actually, one of the reasons I built my AR with a collapsible stock was so it could be adapted to her when she gets old enough to shoot it.   I'd even paint it pink if she wants it.  I'll gladly take a pink AR to the range if I can proudly proclaim it belongs to one of my daughters.
