Because even recycled Al is not enviromentelly friendly. Resmelting the Al takes energy produced from fossil fuels (albeit less than the extracting Al from bauxite) releasing more CO2 into the air.
If you want to be truly green, use an old fashioned wooden baseball bat. They are made from trees. Trees use CO2 to manufacture the sugars they store for lean times, the cellulose that supports their cells and all the carbon containing biomolecules in their cells. They are literally carbon sinks.
So for every piece of wood you use, every peice of paper you scribble on or flush down the john, you increase the demand for forests products and drive the planting of still MORE trees which will suck up still MORE carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. And when those forest products are broken down by decay, the nutrients they contain will be used for future plant life, which will absorbe even MORE CO2!!!
We're in the anteroom of anarchy. I'm sure many people feel that. Self-restraint and sublimation are concepts that were buried long ago.
Maybe that is a good thing. People will stop tolerating the inane dribblings, self-rightous rants and idiotic demands of Leftist fools just to get along. Perhaps in the near future when such creatures makes pests of themselves in polite society, civilized folk will beat them with crowbars until the pests go away.
