How long before someone on arfcom tries this for real?
« on: November 10, 2008, 05:23:20 PM »
It's a prop replica from the game "Gears of War". Silly prop gun with a chainsaw bayonet on it.

But how long before someone tries it and tries to mount it on a rail? =D

Or you could buy the fullscale $140 replica, take it to the range, and scare the #$%! out of people...

I'd rather buy the replica and mount a Marlin 60 inside of it.

Of course it's useless. Game designers come up with the most ridiculous weapons, especially if they're in California and have never touched a real gun. But then, look what some people on arfcom hang off their rifles... ;)

On the other hand, Masamune Shirow, who is in Japan, came up with a sniper rifle with a satellite downlink to show crosswinds as shifting color patterns, which struck me as an incredibly useful idea.

Who would need to carry a skinning knife anymore when you have a chainsaw mounted on your gun,

I'll call that, and raise you a Stihl 046 Magnum with a thirty inch bar :P

S&W meets Briggs & Stratton.

Who wants to bet that chainsaw bayonets are prohibited in the next AWB?
