Maybe. That doesn't change the fact that Mike, though an administrator, can be a condescending pr*ck at times.

99% of it is sarcasm. Once you build a history here, things you have typed in the past will be brought up as jest.

Seriously y'all need to grow a thicker skin. Just like the real world, the internet isn't all warm, fuzzy or has unicorns that poop rainbow Skittles.

My old full-brim tin hat protected my knoggin from quite a bit of falling debris back when I worked in the woods.  It still rides around in the saw box in the pickup, but they don't make the aluminium ones anymore. :( The new plastic hard hats just don't quite have the same RINNNNNGGG! to them ;)

The younger folks, having grown up in a more restrictive environment, just don't realize that it hasn't always been this way.  (Me too, of course - but I at least sorta realize that the world didn't begin on the day I was born.)  For instance, up until I was 14, you could order any gun you wanted through the mail.  The "good ole days" were far from perfect, but I doubt anyone was any more at risk from the lack of gun control.

PS: I sure wish Mike would tell it to us straight up and not sugar coat things

Oh, by the way...

The general definition for compassion is "a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering" (pulled straight from the Random House Unabridged Dictionary).

I must have missed, in the original message in the thread that generated this topic, the story of unrelenting personal sorrow that would require me to dig deep into my soul to find my personal wellspring of compassion.

Where was the tale of having to march 10 miles through the snow, uphill both ways, to get to school?

Someone obviously needs to learn to read a dictionary.

Let's get this straight!  Mike is NOT a condescending p**** at times.  He is a condescending p**** ALL of the time.

Took the very words from my mouth! Thank you, grampster. (We old guys have to stick together!)
 =)

And, Mike, since you're being a condescending p****, still, I'll admit that I should have chosen a better word. Empathetic, perhaps? Will that appease you?  :police:

Err, ahhhh, cough, ahem,....lest anyone misunderstand, my comment was tongue planted firmly in cheek.

Mike gave me his panzer when he resigned as obersturmbanfuher of the neighborhood storm trooper squad association, and I don't want to have to give it back. =D =D
