Goin' to Orlando...
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:50:49 PM »
To see Mickey and Minnie. Any good places to shoot around there? I'll be there starting Friday and leaving to come back here next Friday. Spending the week with the neighbors in their time share right on the Disney property (I think), they've been bugging me to go for 5 years now, I finally caved. By midweek I should be needing some shootin' time!!

Say hi to the Giant Rat.  Be sure to go to adult Disney if you get a chance.

Shooting ranges?  Isn't Frank Garcia's Universal Shooting Academy down there?  Not really a range, though.  http://www.frankgarciausa.com/usa.html

I went to a gun store and indoor range just west of the Orando airport a few years ago.  It was a dump; don't go there.  Sorry, I don't remember the name.

Sorry bud. I have lived in Cocoa Beach and in St. Pete (currently). But never Orlando. They have an Outdoor World at 5156 International Dr
Orlando, FL 32819
(407) 563-5200.

Not that you probably haven't been to one before. But I always enjoy stopping by and browsing for things I can't afford. I will ask around here to see if anyone knows of any good places though.

Ah well, if nothing else maybe I can run into Snow White at one of the bars and get a few drinks into her...

This is still there in Frontierland.

Frontierland Shootin' Arcade, an attraction in Walt Disney World, simulates a shootout in Tombstone, Arizona, over Boothill in 1850. The gallery includes a jail, hotel, bank, and cemetery with targets which are animated when shot. There are a total of 97 targets in the shooting gallery. Originally, the guns shot lead pellets, but were replaced with infra-red light rifles due to the maintenance costs of repainting the targets almost every night.

PC, certainly.

Airborne lead, though, is nearly as scary as Chinese food.   :O

But I like Chinese food....   :|

Then again, I also like airborne lead, so long as I'm not standing down range of it.  =D

Or are you talking about airborne lead particles?  That, not so much...

Forgot about the airborne lead aspect. Guy comes into the range and joins up the other night. Says, "BTW, I'm a lead inspector and do lead abatement." I said, "Don't go behind our backstop!"  :O
