Can anybody give me the down and dirty on doing this to '98 and 2000xp Home Edition? I can't defrag 98 anymore and now it doesn' want to write to "A" drive (floppy)and the 2000 has a program that just went corrupt on me and will NOT uninstall or repair. It's like I'm in a virtual life boat right now! LOL...

I used a mix of windows & linux tools the last time a budy asked for this help.

Of course I didn'trecall which tools I used or which web sites I downloaded them from.

But, the following site looks promising:

fdisk is the traditional dos tool:
