Toddy cold brewed coffee
« on: February 09, 2009, 04:34:37 PM »
Has anyone tried this?  I bought one this weekend ($25 after discount at Borders).  I used cheap coffee that normall delivers a drinkable cup (Maxwell House).  So far, I'm not terribly impressed.  I'll try again with better coffee, but one of the things that bothers me is how much less coffee I'll get for the grounds.  The coffee also tastes kind of flat.

The coffee will taste flat because of the dramatically lower acid content.

I have one and posted a review a while back.

Oh, here it is:

It worked for me.  I don't use it every week (time constraints), but I guess I use it once a month and it provides a week's worth of coffee.

You'll have to play with the grind, water content, and steeping time to find what works best for you.

The lesser amount of acid is a plus for me.
