Most of the English captions are just moronic. I like making fun of things Soviet probably more so than the next guy, but by the 10th picture the joke started wearing real thin.

The English captions = faily attempt by the authors of the site to come up with their own joke.

This one, for example, says:

"Comrade hunters! I feel rather pessimistic about your optimism!"

Whereas the English caption says something about the Moscow circus.

I wouldn't say "comrades". That would be товарищи. This is more along the lines of whatever the plural of Mr. would be. ( I have a cold, my vocabulary is partly inaccessible)

Something like that. It's just that "Sirs hunters" is not the right way to say it...

I suppose "Dear hunters" would work.
