Mass-killer mailed permit to TV station

Aside from the usual, generally anti-gun editorial poorly disguised as 'news', I found this of particular interest:
Quote from: Article
On Friday, a depressed and angry Jiverly Wong used a 9 mm and .45-caliber handgun to kill 13 immigrants and service center employees in Binghamton, N.Y., police said. Earlier that day, the ethnic Chinese immigrant from Vietnam mailed an envelope to a Syracuse television station. In it were his gun permit, photos of him smiling while hoisting shiny, big handguns, and his driver's license.
Strange. Sure, he was crazy... but still, why show off that you legally acquired your murder weapon?

Because a gun permit would "prove" he actually had guns, rather than airsoft guns or was posing with a friend's guns. Which would (in his mind) make him more threatening.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Why the F&*K are these papers and News shows wasting airtime showing this *expletive deleted*it, THIS IS WAS THIS MURDERIOUS ASSHAT WANTS.

God damnit part of me wants to blame the media because now every mass shooter is going to leave his friggin "manifesto" explaining why he had to do it, it was the evil world that made him do it, and how he was really a nice person. Dont boadcast his letter and his pictures it encourages the behavior!

OMFG MOTHER LOVER FUDGE PUCKER!!!!!! Sorry but I would love to see these "news" reporters family members guned down and how gleefully other reporters would talk about the shooter, maybe then they would get it. Boost the gunman in to infamy, delegate the victims to a two sentance lip service.

Its like me robbing a bank, getting away with nothing and then the bank mails me all their money!!! Good Job media you gave this murderer EVERYTHING HE EVER WANTED.

Easy, there... not exactly "polite" to be wishing for innocents to be gunned down by crazies.

I find myself wishing these Darwinian rejects would take out some random politicians at times... political party is not a factor of that dark wish... but I realize that even politicians don't deserve random wackjob deaths.  No one does.

My earnest hope is that these wackos start eating their own bullets first rather than last.

Your right that wasn't highroad or polite. I appoligize no one deserves to be murdered but I dont think that these reporters get what their doing is wrong. Their picture should not be on the front page of the news paper, their letter shouldnt be splayed all over page 4, while in the same article it only mentions two of the victims in passing. We should mourn those that were lost not focus on the killer.

Hey, just an FYI...CNN is reporting that this guy fired over 90 rounds in the first minute, breaking it down to 89 rounds from the 9mm and 11 rounds from the .45 (makes unknown).  Can't wait to see how the anti's use this as an example as to why semis and "high-cap" mags should be outlawed.

Another suspicious sounding tidbit to me.

First, a criminal giving credit to his crimes in fear of an AWB. Now, this guy mailed his papers (and then some) to a TV station?

This is not typical behavior/motive in my experience.

What's the highest grade of tinfoil I can buy?

The police chief is claiming that.

My guess, to justify that his order to keep his cops out was "okay" since they "couldn't have stopped it in time".

Pure CYA on his part since there's been criticism.

10 round mags, one gun switch and 8 mag changes.

Be interesting to see where the actual casualties occured within the building.  If they weren't all in the lobby then he'd have had to been sprinting throughout the attack to have the time to track down and acquire that many targets.
