Shooting ranges near Harper Ferry?
« on: September 05, 2009, 09:43:43 AM »
Man, I tell ya, I'm having a hard time finding a place to shoot around here.  They closed Sleepy Creek WMA shooting range for some unknown reason and now I don't have anywhere to shoot.  I miss Arizona because there were plenty of ranges (and open desert) to shoot anytime you wanted to.  Not so much here unless you want to pay thousands to be a damn member.  That may be the only way to go but the closest range here (Leetown) has a year waiting list and is only open Sunday and Wed morning.

Anyone have any other ideas?  Don't know if Maryland is an option because I have evil weapons that hold boo koo rounds.  ;/

Suggestions?

Cavalier is in the Charlottesville area.  Not exactly Harper's Ferry but maybe close enough?  http://www.cavrpc.org/   *** OOPS!  Meant to direct you to Riviana http://www.rrpc.org/ instead.  So I'm directionally challenged?  Big deal!

Here's the list from Virginia Shooting Sports Association - http://www.myvssa.org/varanges.htm  -  wade through it and find something nearby?

stay safe.

If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!
