Lodging on Hawaii
« on: June 13, 2009, 11:46:39 PM »
My parents would like to rent an inexpensive unit with a kitchen on the northern side of Kaua'i (a Hawaii island) for a week, from 6/27 until 7/4. Should be quiet and easy to cool on a hot day (e.g. windows on both sides) -- no hot tubs or TV is needed. Would anyone have a personal connection with an owner of such a vacation place?

And, while I am at APS, who could summarize the logistics of legally bringing sidearms to Hawaii?

I am no Hawaiian, but as far as I understand, the short answer is "No". Firearms are very nearly illegal on the islands, AFAIK.

From what I hear, the state of Hawaii is as bad as the worst county in kalifornia.

kaua'i is the best of the islands.  I even heard there was hunting when I visited - pigs, but not sure about the guns.  There are multiple "rent to shoot" places in honolulu for the japanese tourists.

It's impossible to find noisy on that island, so just about anywhere should do.  You ought to join them if you can!

Check out WWW.VRBO.COM.  We usually get our best deals on lodging there.
