Even Coolidge?

Coolidge is one of my favorites and likely the last to truly appreciate the Constitutional limitations on the POTUS.

A fine example of inactivism as to be found anywhere.

One of y'all APSers has one of his sayings as a sig.  Somethign like:
"If you see ten problems rolling down the road toward you, nine will end up in the ditch before they get to you."

Clinton was more presidential. (It really hurt to say that).
I'm not sure playing hide-the-cigar with young interns is anything even remotely presidential.

Truly, I believe Obama is terribly disrespectful of the office he occupies.

Hell, I was mad when I heard that he doesn't require a jacket and tie in the Oval Office.

Better that than a guy who doesn't require pants in the Oval Office.  :P

Doesn't bother me; someone has to stop the fashion madness. Kennedy was the first president to go about without a hat; I'm sure that seemed disrespectful to a lot of people.

I can't argue with not requiring a jacket/tie. I really hate ties...very uncomfortable.

Apparently, the Kennedy w/o hat notion is a bit of a myth.  I think maybe Snopes has an article about it.
Here it is: http://www.snopes.com/history/american/jfkhat.asp

Anyway, I've never seen any indication that walking about sans hat is seen as being disrespectful.  If anything, it seems to have been taken as a sign of poverty way back when.  Or so I thought.  Maybe it was a bit of a riding into Jerusalem on a colt, the foal of a donkey kind of thing.  :)  OK, not really.

Considering that it was a private pep talk, he probably never thought it would get out.  He has made other slips in the past and that just shows his lack of polish and self-control.  I doubt it will make that big of a splash.  Most of his supporters already refer to the tea partiers as *derogatory term deleted* and it is pretty widely used.  Granted, it doesn't make it any less insulting, but it is hard to be surprised that the president used this term.

To be fair, the FreeRepublic.com used the term in retaliation of CNN's supposed unbiased news anchor Anderson Cooper, former President Bill Clinton, President Obama and many many others on the left.  Please  note the "FreeRepublic.com" signature at the bottom of the protesters sign as well as the time line of each when they first started using that term.

Most of the discomfort there comes from having an undersized dress shirt for too long. As years go by, weight tends to increase - as does neck size. Get the next size (or half size) up, and your discomfort will likely go away.
