David Kelly post mortem to be kept secret for 70 years
« on: January 24, 2010, 08:37:25 AM »
Quote
Vital evidence which could solve the mystery of the death of Government weapons inspector Dr David Kelly will be kept under wraps for up to 70 years.

In a draconian – and highly unusual – order, Lord Hutton, the peer who chaired the controversial inquiry into the Dr Kelly scandal, has secretly barred the release of all medical records, including the results of the post mortem, and unpublished evidence.

The move, which will stoke fresh speculation about the true circumstances of Dr Kelly’s death, comes just days before Tony Blair appears before the Chilcot Inquiry into the Iraq War.

It is also bound to revive claims of an establishment cover-up and fresh questions about the verdict that Dr Kelly killed himself.

David Kelly post mortem to be kept secret for 70 years as doctors accuse Lord Hutton of concealing vital information

Now this topic doesn't even have to be about the assassination conspiracy theory - it's the fact that they are so keen to throw a lid on information like this and expect people to shut up, forget about it, and 'move along'.
They did the same thing with information on the Dunblane Massacre - except that was for 100 years.

Yeah, they aren't too fond of transparency here. I'm not going to whine about my personal freedoms too much because I know I have it pretty good personally, but I just can't stand that it seems the party in charge at any given time has no wish to be serve the country, which we pay them for, but to rule.

Heh, I don't suppose you have heard one of the more popular conspiracy theories about the paedophile ring?

Either way, they are very quick to sweep things under the carpet here.

There's a sharp difference between classifying information to keep harm from the population and classifying information in order to harm the population.  As much as we Americans are oft smug about our level of freedom, our own government becomes less forthright every year.

As Lord Hutton had the courtesy of offering a lame excuse yet?

Sigh.  For the ten billionth time, there are no super sekret squirrel black helicopters.  They are and always have been dark green!  It LOOKS black at many angles, but is much better visual properties.  Black itself is a bad color for concealment, as the human eye notices it very readily.  Dark green is much hardier to see and focus on, especially at night.

I  understand there's documentation from WW1 that's shielded from the yearly declassification review process.  It was explained to me that the classification remained due to content showing existing (1918) tensions that would culminate in the ethnic cleansing (aka, genocide) in Bosnia circa 1995.   :O

Predicting genocide in the Balkans is kinda like predicting rain on a Wednesday.

Predicting genocide in the Balkans is kinda like predicting rain on a Wednesday.

So many things that "enlightened" folk think unthinkable are, more or less, the default state for humanity & human nature.

Genocide, I would suggest, is one of those.  I'd bet that during most of humanity's time on Earth, most any group that could eliminate another group and claim its territory for themselves at little or reasonable cost, would do so.
