Fire fox question
« on: March 31, 2010, 09:44:48 PM »
So I got the new lappy. Is there anyway to export things like the saved password list?
Bit of a pain to put them all back in for various forums and such.
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

FEBE.  It can make a back-up of your entire Firefox profile, or just parts of it.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109

Just add it on to the current Firefox set-up, and use it to back up your profile to a flash drive or whatever.  Next, download Firefox to the new machine and add FEBE to it.  Then use FEBE to create a new profile, and restore the saved profile to it.  Then set the new profile as default.

Done.

if your brave you can set up your firefox user profile to save to a flashdrive and take all your new bookmarks and such with you. [tinfoil] but the things brake/get lost/found easy. [popcorn]

Mozilla Backup will allow you to make the lappy version identical to your desktop version.

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

I figured you had used it before, so I was your guinea pig?

FEBE I've used a number of times.

Mozilla backup I hadn't heard of before.
