If the room will be 24 feet long, build a Utility room for other stuff and make your safe room with the last 6 or 8 feet on one end. Put the door to the Utility room on the opposite end so it isn't obviously shorter than it should be. Hide the door to the safe room with a shelf or something. You can still build those walls or the entire wall stronger if you want.
