22" is "small" for flat screens?

Obviously it has been awhile since I've bought a TV, too.

I haven't looked lately, but keep an eye on Dell's web site.  I got my 32" Vizio there for (IIRC) $80 less than Walmart.  Same exact model.  Plus no tax and free shipping.  That was a sale price, but you never know...

amazon has some down to 7inches. i would suggest thinking about a monitor(with atsc receiver) that way when they are old enough for computers you just need one display. oh and 26inch is a good size tv for movies(for one person). oh and it is worth trying an old set of rabbit ears if your near a city. oh and mono price for any cables you need. ;) they seem to put hdmi cables on "today's deal" pretty regularly.

amazon like for portables
amazon link for monitors

HTS display forum

OTA links

Dell has this 22" Vizio on sale right now for $228.  Worth a look.

I'd head to Amazon and grab a previous year Samsung.

If you're not big on Amazon shopping, sign up for Tiger Direct's and New Egg's e-mail specials and wait for something to come along.

Make sure there are enough of the proper type of inputs to hook up whatever you will be hooking up.

Might wanna check ecost. Sometimes they are refurbs but they stand behind them. I've returned a monitor that arrived DOA.

Heck, you've got the computers around, never mind. Was gonna suggest slingbox but that could get interesting.

ecost has a 19 inch Apex for $106.99. Lots of choices there.

Probably going to see fire sale prices on "old technology" flat screens this summer as everyone scrambles to go 3D.

I bought an element 15 inch led from Circuit City a couple of years ago

It is an OK television and has a vga input so it can double as a computer monitor

Element made tvs for Polaroid

It was pretty cheap and its only flaw is off angle viewing

If you are looking for TV's and not computer monitors, check out the major store web sites like Best Buy and others.  Fry's is a good one for big screens so I assume they have those also.

I would also suggest checking out Amazon.com.  You might get free shipping out of it.

Are you looking for HD or just regular TV?

hd would be nice but not a requirement.  you are talking to a guy who has lived and survived (gasp) without tv quite well at times.
the look of horror on folks faces when you say no tv is a hoot.

No such thing as "regular" TV anymore.  They're all HD.  The only choice is resolution - 720 or 1080.

OMG, but kids are spoiled...

If you're hooking 'em up to cable, just head over to Goodwill and pick up a coupla name-brand remote-capable 19" CRT televisions... You should be out the door, with new Wal-Mart Phillips remotes, for under $50.
