1.  Couldn't care less what the Queen thinks about how I use "her English."
2.  Why do British people feel it necessary to stick their noses into so many American issues?
3.  We don't even speak English anymore, it's something totally different.  Stop trying to hang onto us like an ex lover trying to find the tiniest thing to get back together with us.

I'm glad we Americans settled our relationship with the English crown in the 18th century.

And as far as use of The Queen's English is concerned . . . I still prefer US versions of "color" and "aluminum" to the Brit versions, and of course I regard the clear US way to say "smoking a cigarette" to that used by some Brits (e.g., "sucking a fag") which might be interpreted as having an entirely different meaning.

I found the video quite funny.

I complimented a British woman on her fanny pack and she was all mortified that her feminine hygine product was somehow showing...  [tinfoil]

There are some touchy Yankees hereabout.  We've pwnd Britain a number of times.  Why do some of you insist on feeling all defensive and inferior?

I'm glad we Thank the Lord and everyone else responsible, Americans settled our relationship with the English crown in the 18th century.

Made an adjustment there. I completely agree with the sentiment. If we were still under British rule, I'd imagine we would be worrying about defending our limited right to keep and bear arms...Er. Scratch that. Shotguns.

Fanny pack - just call it a bum bag over here to avoid funny looks.
Colour/Color and Aluminium/Aluminum - it's not such a big difference, I know what Americans are saying when they say it their way, it's not any harder to understand than the differences in accents as far as I am concerned.

Big 'meh' from me.

Who the heck says 'sucking a fag'?  ???

Sounds dumb either way, but then they look dumb, too.  I know a certain pious lady who calls it her "belt purse."

A yankee is not one of them.
Also, another +1 for Monty Python.
Though, that video of John Cleese talking about Palin and Obama hurt my feelings (and again made me ask, why does Britain care so much about what happens in America?).

(and again made me ask, why does Britain care so much about what happens in America?).
Honestly I think it's due to the fact, that deep down, they know WE are the true last hope for western society and thus freedom.
They have already failed.  Should America fail too, then we are all screwed.  Therefore at the heart of all the American bashing rancor, is a deep seeded belief that we are the only free society left to battle tyranny.  They are simply too cowardly to stand up and say so.

A yankee is not one of them.

Yankee (yank - ee)
     1. A native of the New England region of the United States.
     2. A native of the northern United States.
     3. An American, many of whom pretend to take offense at this term, as if they did not understand that it has three distinct meanings.

Yes, Mabs, you are a Yankee.

(and again made me ask, why does Britain care so much about what happens in America?).

Simply because we are (or at least have been) the most dominant force on the planet, culturally, economically, militarily, etc. When you're on top, people will be all up in yo bidness.

I know I am not a yankee.
You are apparently unaware of the tendency of people, especially in England, to refer to all Americans as Yankees.
