Darn.  And it's approaching dinner time.

What will I choose now?

stay safe.

If it was real...I WOULD BUY IT. But I would demand it without the bacon and cheese. Fried chicken skin is good on it's own without any help...

Instead of a sandwich, how about a bag of Chicken Skins!

The skins on those pictures look like they are freshly pealed off chicken breasts or something.  The bottoms still have the layers of fat.  (I think Popeye's generally has less of that).  If these were purpose made skins, I would think they would be fried separately and the fat would either be cooked more or not there at all.

I would be interesting to see some sort of similar fried strip that had those same herbs and spices.

You realize this is a heresy on APS?   :O

I tell you, between the recent rash of people questioning Gina Torres, gender studies and now bacon, my faith in APS is being sorely tested.

Do not misunderstand me, friends. I love Bacon. But Bacon is best alone, fresh out of the frying pan, hot and juicy. This allows you to enjoy the full Bacon experience without the distraction of the sensual flavors of hamburger, chicken, or what have you. Bacon is also acceptable crumbled up in a baked potato. But understand that Bacon is a food that is best enjoyed in it's simplest form.

Alton Brown method of cooking bacon works great.

On a broiler pan or other drainable pan/rack, put it in an oven set to 400 degrees. DO NOT preheat it. Jut put it in right when you turn it on.

The slow rise of the heat slowly melts off the fat, and the bacon is just about done when the oven actually reaches 400.
I promise not to duck.

This is how I cook bacon, and it also minimizes shrinkage and curling.

Studying female Gina Torres smothered in bacon....WIN!   :P

I believe that was when Cartman ate all the skins off an entire bucket of chicken before his friends could eat any.  They then decided to completely ignore him and pretend he didn't exist.  It was a pretty funny episode.

I'm going to have to try that.  Microwaving just isn't quite the same taste as pan fry, but pan fry makes a mess and my house smells like bacon for a day.  Now, I like the smell of bacon when I am hungry, but after a big breakfast, I really don't want to smell it anymore.  I had considered using a hot plate outside, but I'm not sure I like that either.
