Horse #1 on its way! (Now with Pics!)
« on: October 05, 2010, 07:18:59 PM »
My Lady's horse is on its way here.  She went to pick it up while I stayed behind to finish getting the corral area ready for Katy.  I had time to work on the corral fencing and set up the warm weather water tank for tonight.

Now comes the hard part..........waiting!

With a horse you get other advantages.  Have you ever thought about planting roses?

The Ladies arrived with the horse around 9 PM.  Long day on the road.  Our pretty little mare came through with flying colors and is moving into her quarters as soon as Lady Shooter and Daughter Pine walk their mares over to the new corral we built.

I will go get my gelding on Sunday so we will be busy folks for awhile.  Somewhere in the mix is buying and hauling alfalfa/ hay grass mix.  I can pick up pellets when I need them.

I will post some as soon as Lady Shooter downloads them from her camera.  She is petite, part Appaloosa part Rocky Mtn Gaited.  My horse, Red is pedigreed but not papered.  He is the runt and so is short, perfect for an old fart like me.

How much glue can you make with that? Of course in mean in a SHTF TEOTWAWKI situation?
This explains how.

But I'm interested in how much?
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

So, Gpa:

When are you and tallpine gonna invite me up there and teach me to be a proper horseman?

Seems we have the APS Cavalry and Dragoon Corps (Is that AC/DC I just spelled out?) forming in Montana, to balance the APS Jolly Roger Armada that Jamis is heading up in the Gulf.

So, if it were Mabs, it would be "Brokeback Mtn" style. :P

AC/DC ≠ Mabs gayness.

Nor are horsies.

If Gpa can vouch for you, just let us know when you could come.  No spare rooms right now, but lots of places to pitch a tent.

Maybe I should start giving lessons or running clinics to help pay the bills  ???  =|

But I'm neither as competent nor as good-looking as Stacy Westfall  :P
