Pinky, a 16 week old boxer pup, saw her boy getting stung, jumped in and distracted the bees, and allowed him to get to cover.  The boy is allergic to bee stings.

The boy went to the hospital and the dog went to the vet.

18-week old dog.

Pretty good bonding.

Never did consider that dogs could have anaphylactic reactions.  This puppy did.  (I've been through one, but not from bee stings.  It's rough.  Glad to hear both boy & puppy are doing OK.

"Was you ever bit by a dead bee?" [/Walter Brennan voice]  (And to think she was merely 19 when she made that movie.  I still get the lusts seeing her.)

stay safe.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Our dog has gotten it into his head that we want nothing more than to have a hedgehog as a pet. He's fetched us the hedgehog on multiple occasions. Yeah, we've taken spines out of his mouth/nose on more than one occasion. When he isn't fetching the poor thing he merely pokes his nose into it. The hedgehog is not amused in any way I might add.

You have hedgehogs in the yard? Cool!

We've only got possums and coons. Course, we used to have a dog that would fetch a possum and play "possum toss" with it- grabbing it, then it'd play dead, and he'd toss it up in the air and let it hit the ground, then lay down to wait for the possum to wake, then repeat for a couple of hours.

Yep, atleast one lives out at my parent's place, probably under the floor of one of the sheds. We found a dead one last summer, and we were rather sad about it since we are fond of the little buggers, but a new one soon appeared =). Cute little fellows =).

They sound like some kind of steam engine when they are angry or frightened .
