having just watched another episode of Wanted Dead or Alive and trying to get on the internet.  I start hearing a faint clunking noise.  I'm thinking my hard drive is crashing and put my head down to the computer to listen.  It is making a whirring noise but no clunking.  I straighten up and it starts again.  I lean over and put the other ear to the computer thinking maybe I'm using the wrong ear.  Once again no clunking, just whirring.  I'm thinking what the **** is going on with my computer.  Winter in Montana and no computer!  I'm thinking some pretty ugly stuff and put my ear down again.  I hear a faint clunking again.  Oh, great!







I straighten up just in time to see my wife's guinea pig trying to get water out of an empty water bottle on the other side of the dinette in the 5th wheel.

Yup! Sometimes it gets a little crazy around here.

There is only so much time you can spend looking out the window watching the snow fall.  Or reading other people's posts, or rereading a book you realize you have read before.  I go to all the bookmarks I have, read a little in each of them and play a card game or two, and then start over again at the top.  Once in awhile LadyShooter shows up and we chat a minute or two on Yahoo chat, but she usually is on with a billion other people and it takes 5 minutes to get an answer.  My attention span is shorter than that.

Well, we have so much to do just to survive, what with splitting firewood and shoveling snow and taking care of the livestock, that I'm not sure how LadyPine is going to manage if I get a job in town and am gone 12-13 hours each day, or if I go to another place to work for a while.   

We still have to grind up all the deer meat - almost noon and haven't even got started on it yet today

rereading a book you realize you have read before

I HATE that. You get into it a few pages and then all of a sudden, "Heyyyy, this seems familiar."

What gets me is how they re-issue a book in paperback with an entirely different cover and blurb and you pay for it to take on the plane, and THEN you find out it is one you have read before.  The only thing to read then is the Sky Mall magazine, Traveler magazine or the emergency procedures for the airplane you are on.  It is disconcerting when you realize the entire thing is in cartoonish pictures and no verbiage to go with it.

At least there's a bag to barf in after reading the air magazine.
