Nasty hispanic journalist badgers WWII vet after he shoots & kills three armed robbers trying to break into his home/business in a 3 week period.  She is fired and sues.  Well, she lost.

Took the jury 2 hours to decide.

"Aguilar was suspended with pay by the station on Oct. 16, 2007, the day after her controversial exclusive interview of then 70-year-old West Dallas salvage business owner James Walton. She approached him in a sporting goods store parking lot, where he had a new shotgun in his possession after previously shooting and killing two alleged burglars within three weeks time. Her nearly 14-year career as a Fox4 reporter officially ended on March 6, 2008, when Fox4 exercised its option to drop her at the halfway point of her latest two-year contract. "

Interesting that her husband still works there.  Real comfortable situation, that.

Sorry, but she did it to herself.  We used to have an agent like that... huge chip on their shoulder and an unbearable jackass in their heavy-handed and absolutist approach to everything minority.  We were finally able to get rid of the person on a technical, but legally very powerful, violation of the code of ethics.  And none too soon as it turned out.  The agent was later sued, and lost, for being in violation of fair housing rules.  Ironically, the violation was a direct result of their extreme pro-minority stance.

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

My company has the usual Duh-versity tomfoolery, but it is mostly from the top*.  Never had "diverse" fellow employee with that sort of chip on their shoulder.  Just did their job like a not-so-diverse employee.

I'm glad to see her lose big, hopefully to never report more news than "Would you like that medium or large sized?" However, where did we decide that this guy was a WWII vet. If we accept the blurb from the link that he was 70 in 2007 that makes him an awfully young fella at 1945.

Not to pile on, but I don't see anything about him being a WWII vet.  If he was 70 in 2007, he'd have been 4 years old in 1941 when the US entered the war.
