Dag nabbit!!!
« on: December 21, 2010, 02:51:03 AM »
The sky is so cloudy I can't see hardly any of the lunar eclipse.     I wanted to  [popcorn] at the celestial show.

Stayed up special for it.

Least I didn't wake up the kids.

It's clear here, but SWMBO is much less excited at the eclipse now at 0300 then she was when we set the alarm and went to bed.

Nice!

Thin high-altitude clouds here earlier, but they thinned out even further by the time it entered the penumbra. stayed that way throughout the eclipse.  So it was a pretty nice eyeball event, but the haze would have interfered with 'scopes and cameras.
WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

COOOLLLLL.  Maybe by the time the next lunar eclipse comes along the kids will be old enough to understand what's happening.  They're 6 and 4 now.  They totally didn't get it when I explained that picture to them.

Clear here last night, but we just slept right through it.

It was zero deg F this morning anyway.
Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one. The road goes upward toward the light; but the laden traveller may never reach the end of it.  - Ursula Le Guin
