blast from the past

watching the green hornet on sy-fy  great stuff
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Some of the local over-the-air stations have started to show a lot of those old movies and serials.

One of the major ones has even established a secondary outlet (DTV 31-2) which they call "The Antenna Channel," meaning shows, sitcoms, movies, etc from the days when people got their TV from those funny arrays of aluminum rods on their rooftops.  I especially like the movies from the film noire era.

Gee, no rotting corpses discovered in garbage dumps, no brains and blood splashed on the wall, no bones laid out in the mortuary, no micrcoameras exploring the inside of a victim's nostril... no other shocktainment.

How refreshing!

So there must be a demand for that old stuff.

Either that, or the copyrights have expired and they can show them freely.

Either way, it's a win for me.

WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

thanks for the heads up!
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

My bet is on "follow the money"

Of course for the green Hornet resurgence it may have soemthing to do with the "new" Green Hornet movie coming out.

Yea, I watched a few of those. Surprising 40 years later how hokey it all looks. Still cool to see it again. The Mrs had never seen it before. So I introduced her to the whole Bruce Lee thing, she didn't seem to be all that wowed.  She was like: ;/

I liked the voiceovers at the beginning/end. Same Bat guy, same Bat channel.

I caught the one with the laser and they had to paint Black Beauty with the special heat shield paint they got from NASA IIRC. Is it me or is Black Beauty really kind of on the ugly side?  =|

It was OK but it lacked the imagination used in the creation of Adam West's Batmobile.

That's what I thought. I don't like the matte finish, I think if it were shiny it'd look better. Looks like primer to me. I imagine that was for stealth though.  [tinfoil]
