Down the creek with half a paddle.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

much as i love watching that i almost hate vids.  expect someone else to buy it real soon trying that. the park service lets you run great falls but part of their deal is to keep it on the qt.  they don't want every knuckle head with a boat trying it
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

IDK, they fact that the kayaker is a proffesional may give them some pause, especially as its obvious he did his research first. Idiots try stuff that doesn't look like work, and that video gives the impression of work, which does stick with the subconsious.

As for me, I'll stick to class fives with a raft and a guide.  ;)

Or class three in a canoe  =D

IMHO, insurance companies need to have a special rider on their policies: If you do stupid crap, and you don't pay the stupid crap premium, it's your butt...

Except the guy in the video is not an idiot. He clearly prepared for this jump and knew what he was doing.

Here's a short interview with Tyler just before the video came out last spring.

You should try that in a yak, they are more fun than a canoe.
