Turn the Black Eyed Peas off because they sucked so bad? Fortunately AFHV was one station up so one flick of the remote and all was well again. I was disappointed, I thought they was good when I'd seen them in the past. My thought was why not save all the money by eliminating the useless and tacky extravaganza and spend it on someone good for a change.  :P

Meanwhile I fell asleep watching the Steelers fumble the game away in the second half. Missed the first half. Forgot it was on.  :laugh:

The house we were at was pure chaos.  I couldn't hear most of the half time show, which was probably a good thing.  Some people have forgotten the "kids should be seen, not heard" addage.  Its always nice when my kids are the best behaved of the bunch.

the Peas do not play well, but they do look cool

I wonder how they are in concert as both TV award shows i have seen them on their mix was a muddled mess

the initial fly in was pretty heroic, the LED tron dancers were quite nice, the video display set had a couple of dead branches, but it sounded like mud

It was quite possibly the most entertaining Superbowl halftime show I've ever seen.

Of course, not entertaining in the way they intended, I'm sure.

The sound guy is likely going to be fired. Fergie sounded even worse once they got her mic turned on.

They butchered "Sweet Child O Mine".

And the dancers... I don't know who came up with this concept, but they really need to stop.

I thought it was so bad I was already giggling. And then the box headed dancers came out.

My friend texted to his wife (who turned it off as they killed Sweet Child O Mine), "Tonight's not gonna be a good good night", at least, not for the Black Eyed Peas.

I felt bad for Slash when he was raised onto the stage.  Dippy broad that was singing wouldn't leave him the heck alone to do his guitar solo.

Slash is a frackin' star and an amazing guitarist that DESERVES his spotlight and camera time, and he has a fan-base across the entire US (especially after the Guitar Hero video games) that would appreciate a music-video style camera close-up of his fingers while he played his solo.

Instead, we get that dippy broad climbing all over him and massacring the vocal melody of Sweet Child of Mine.

Not me, I got to laugh heartily at people injuring themselves in many amazing and unbelievable ways. I missed the whole Slash thing but I did pick up on the off mic problem at the start. I've seen them on SNL and thought they were pretty good. To me it looked like a Superbowl sellout on their part.  [barf]
