Wow.....I didn't realize that politicians were exposed to risks that us "average joes" aren't......  ;/

So he wants to be able to carry a concealed handgun when he goes to various places to talk to his own constituents because he is afraid of the risk.  Does that sounds a bit screwed up to you?

Well, as a point of fact, they have.  The Illinois Sheriffs Association, the Illinois Chiefs of Police Association, the Chicago Police Sergeants Association and the Chicago Police Lieutenants Association have all come out and supported in testimony before the Illinois House, HB 0148 The Family and Personal Protection Act, AKA Right to Carry.

Article has a bunch of wrong in it, FYI.  Several of the off limits places listed require 30.06 postings to actually be off limits.  Campus and school carry is making its way through the legislature now.
Of course, I wonder if the legislators are exempting themselves from TPC 30.06.... :facepalm:.

I yearn for the day when Texas is as free as everyone says it is.

If the general public isn't allowed to carry guns to those places, what are they worried about? They should be safe there, right?
