My buddy feels just releasing the dog's name is already a security breach and it won't be long before the SEALS identities will be revealed. great war we're fighting here.  ;/

They weren't even supposed to acknowledge that the units was SEALs ... that lasted about 10 minutes.

Our gummint does an exceptionally poor job of protecting the secrecy/privacy of those who put themselves in harm's way in the interests of the country. It sucks. You can pretty well bet that if/when the names of the individuals become known, the Jihadis will put a price on their heads, and their families will never again be able to live normal lives in safety.

Silly man....there's no such thing as SEALs.....the raid was carried out by the BATFE and the Chicago PD on a no-knock warrant....that's why there were so many dead bodies....  ;/

I've known several SF guys in my travels with the .mil.  They've all been very professional, very competent and had a strong sense of honor.

That said, I would NOT want to be the white house staffer that leaked their names if their families were attacked.
