Milwaukee police chief Flynn held a news conference in which he called on Governor Walker to "provide adult supervision" with the constitutional (no permit required) carry bill that's going to the legislature.
I loved this part:
The news conference came after a gunfight overnight between Milwaukee police officer Jose Viera and an armed suspect in the Sherman Park neighborhood.
"I also want to take this as an opportunity to call on Gov. Walker to exhibit statesmanship and provide adult supervision over the chaotic legislative process that seems bent on inflicting a reckless and foolish concealed carry law on the citizens of Wisconsin," Flynn said. "This is not a political talking points issue. This is an officer safety issue. This is the second time in less than a week my officers have been in a gun battle with armed, reckless assailants. We cannot afford a reckless bill."
Not politics? My skinny white butt. One of your officers is shot by a criminal, and you somehow blame the law abiding, and use the shooting as an excuse to pressure the governor. It has nothing to do with officer safety.
Notice in the story
here how both suspects had extensive records that would prohibit them from owning, much less carrying, a gun.
The arguments against concealed carry aren't sounding like a broken record. They're sounding like a closed-loop tape, or a Chatty Cathy doll (pull the string and she talks).
