Alright. I quit this one. I had a bad day yesterday, which I may post about later. I'll end by saying that I'm not ready to make a judgment on this one yet. facts may end up showing you all were right. But, in light of what happened to me yesterday, and the follow up today, I'm going to say that I am in no mood to argue about whether or not a cop has a right to feel safe doing his job. I thought I did, but maybe not...
Yeah, the cop looked real worried about his safety.
More like pissed off that some peasant had the audacity to refuse to obey his unlawful order.
I don't think cops have any more right to feel safe than anyone else -- and it is not a threat to anyone's safety to stand in your yard videotaping them, to stand behind them, to say mean things to them, or to express what they believe to be "anti-police" views.
On the other hand, it IS threatening to a person's safety to come onto their property without permission, physically assault them, and kidnap them.
Here's an "anti-police" comment for you -- I wish someone had been there to defend the victim from those aggressors. That is unfortunately the only way that justice is likely to be done in a case like this.
