"Green helmets" for "peacekeepers" that intervene on the part of micronesian islands that could theoretically be submerged by globular warming/cooling/drying/wetting/changing/stagnating/[whatever the mantra is this week].

More proof that watermelons are the enemy.

Well that depends, what shade of green are we talking here? Bright lime or fluorescent green? Certainly olive drab is "too evil and militaristic" for these lovers of da earf peace.  :P

Look what it did for Venice  =)

The UN peacekeeping force (an oxymoron if ever there was one) is very good at keeping the peace, except in places where resistance is offered.

Bring it.
Let first world civilians see what they're paying for with "peacekeepers".

Besides, without the armies of the "Evil Rich Countries" American civilians outgun the UN.  Hell, without the rich armies, I outgun the UN.

I'm pretty certain their ancestors combated their own threats and paddled around until they found a suitable place to colonize.

"Disappears" as in GOP-spending-cuts-type "disappears" or Sopranos-mob-type "disappears"?.....  [tinfoil]

Orwellian "Down the Memory Hole"-type disappears.
