Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes

If you have been enjoying Iron Man, Thor and Captain America I would urge you to watch this recent animated series.

The Avengers was one of the comics I bought every month and this series captures what that book was about. The heroism, the intelligence, the banter and the fact that the characters kick-ass yet have definite weaknesses and different outlooks that lead to interesting narrative results.

Oh and Captain America just rocks. You really get the idea of his tactical and fighting abilities and that he is so much better in these areas than the others, except for Black Panther...maybe. Sure Thor and Hulk can bring it strength wise and Iron Man has his metal overalls but Cap is always thinking and looking for the best solution to the problem. But the main problem he has is that Tony Stark is the boss and Cap is too good of a soldier to disobey orders and this leads to a few...well watch it and find out.

It's on Netflix and I saw it's listing as I was scrolling some category or another.

Is this the same Avengers with Emma Peel that came out ... before I was born ... but I loved the re-runs of?

No, this series would be based on the Marvel superhero comics, it has nothing to do with the British spy TV series from the 60s.

Just started watching it on Disney Channel.....good show....
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

My sons watch it.  Not me.  I'm too old for cartoons.  So I don't watch it.  Ever.  Not even when the boys are watching.  And I certainly don't record it and watch it on my own.

(I was always a fan of Hawkeye.  I wanted to be the archer.)
