I love Bruce Campbell (platonically as an actor ya pervs) and I love quirky movies, but I just could not get into BH.
A lot of people felt the same way - they were used to the "quirky-funny" Campbell movies. BH is, if you get right down to it, a drama with a healthy dash of scifi/action. Watched from that perspective it's just a darned good movie - introspective, innovative, imaginative, and a lot of other -ive's I'm probably leaving out. Plus, this is one of the few, and I mean VERY few, movies where I actually found myself kinda-sorta believing that the character was real, not just an actor playing one. Bruce just flat-out
nails the "old, cranky, brokedown, don't give a crap anymore Elvis" character. And the soundtrack is killer (no pun intended) in it's emotive minimalism.
