fistful: AMD inside

VISION MAKES GOAL MORE GOAL!

Following the death of my riced-out HP desktop, I took the opportunity to buy my very first off-the-shelf motherboard and CPU, also my first AMD system. Microcenter was throwing in a free mommyboard with purchase of a dual-core AMD Phenom II. And I had this Antec case sitting around, that I had acquired a year or so ago.

So I did it. Had to buy new memory, too, since I had no DDR3. So I did the 8 GB thing as well.

It was about time to re-install the Windows anyhow.

You do know you'll be wanting 64 bit Windows, right?

sixty-fo bits is all I got, dog. My previous machine was a P4 with Hyperthreading and EMT64. Of course, my old motherboard could only use 4 GB.
