Where to buy jewelry online?
« on: December 06, 2011, 12:48:38 PM »
Any recommendations on a reliable and cost-effective online jewelry retailer?  I want to buy my wife a yellow gold diamond eternity ring for Xmas.  I know the mall jewelers have at least a 100% markup, and I had a previous good experience with Blue Nile, where I got an engagement/wedding set at about 45% of the mall stores.  Unfortunately, Blue Nile does not have the ring I am looking for.

I had a good friend who was a jeweler and learned a lot about the business. If you can find a small independent jeweler and have a good rapport with them, they might be willing to negotiate a lower mark-up, but it's unlikely. I'd check ebay and look for a seller with a really solid rating.

Good luck!

Pawn shops
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

TY!!  Unfortunately, I don't have any eternity rings for sale.  I could get one, but it would not be here in time for Christmas.
