Third Class Mail-how slow is it?

I've ordered some coins from a company in New Hampshire that is sending them Third class mail.  I live in California.  About how long will that take?  I've only dealt with First and fourth before.

I am not sure specifically about 3rd class but I ordered some books on Monday and the guys sent them media mail and I got them yesterday.  I remember sending/receiving other stuff in the past via MM and it took forever.  Hit or miss I guess.

I ordered a book from Florida that they sent by Media Mail, and it took over a month to arrive here in California.

Is "Media" what used to be called Parcel Post?  That's Fourth Class.

What is second?  I don't know.     THIRD BASE!

"Media Mail" used to be called "Book Rate".  I have no idea how it fits into the parcel post, second class, third class, Eagle Scout structure of things.
